Rangers Shut Out In Boston Again!

Well Sean Avery was up to his usual tricks in the Rangers vs Bruins game by trying to get under the skin of Tim Thomas. Unfortunately for Avery and the Rangers, it didn't work and the Bruins won the game 1-0 for the second time this season in Boston. If you didn't get a chance to see the game, chances are you may have already seen the Avery/Thomas incident that occurred late in the 3rd period. During a TV timeout Avery looked around to make sure no one was watching and then skated towards Thomas who was on his knees stretching. Avery then tapped Thomas on the back of the head as he skated by, pretending to do it unintentionally. Thomas took exception to what Avery did (as would be expected) and skated after him to let him know it. Nothing much resulted out of the whole scrum other than Freddie Sjostrom getting a mouth full of Thomas' blocker. It was pretty damn comical to watch - especially if you were watching the game and they had to show the replay of what happened while we were busy watching commercials.

Avery definitely deserved a penalty on the play, no doubt about that. However, neither ref on the ice saw Avery do what he did to Thomas. Avery wasn't given a penalty until the play was shown on the jumbotron in the arena and the refs had watched it. That is absolute bull$hit!

Thankfully as a Rangers fan in the NY area I get the MSG telecast. While looking through the internet blogs I happened to find the Bruins feed. Wanna hear two homer idiots discuss the incident? If so, watch the clip below....if not, then turn off your sound:

Here's the Ranger vs Bruins highlights:

Oh yeah, forgot to mention.....another game where Captain Invisible (Drury) - did what he's done best this entire season - NOTHING!
