Rangers News From Around the Internet

  • The Classic Blog has an excellent breakdown of the Nikolai Zherdev trade. You thought you were mad about the Rangers trading Tyutin for Zherdev and as a result basically ending up with nothing? Well, read this to really get your blood boiling.

  • Need some information about the prospect tournament coming up in a few weeks? The Rangers Tribune takes a look at the roster that the Rangers will be sending to the annual prospect tournament in Traverse City, Michigan.

  • In case you missed it, yesterday NHL.com continued to analyze all 30 NHL teams in 30 days. Yesterday, it just happened to be the Rangers who were in the spotlight.

  • According to Steve Zipay over at Blue Notes, Bobby Sanguinetti has a shot at making the Rangers roster this season and it looks like Upper Deck thinks highly of the New Jersey native. Also, in yesterday's release NHL.com's table showed there were no Rangers scheduled to be on NBC, but that's not the case according to Blue Notes. It looks like there are now two scheduled Rangers games on NBC (which makes more sense) - March 14th against the Flyers and March 21st in Boston.
