- Marian Gaborik is out tonight. Sounds like it's more precautionary than anything else. (Fingers crossed!)
- P.A. Parenteau who was recalled from Hartford yesterday will make his Rangers regular season debut. He has 5 NHL games under his belt, dating back to the 06-07 season when he played 5 games in Chicago and got 1 assist.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if Parenteau steps right in and plays on one of the top two lines.
- Brashear will be a scratch. Lingering effects of an injury. Possibly a hand or wrist injury.
Check out Scotty Hockey for his look at the Islanders and take a look at the rival blogs over at Lighthouse Hockey. Also check out Chris Botta, now working for NHL Fanhouse, but also running Islanders Point Blank who does a great job.
