PuckCentral's Olympic Fantasy Hockey Picks

I told you all yesterday about an Olympic hockey fantasy hockey challenge being run by Rinktology

The rules are set so that you can only pick one player from each competing country. That leaves you with more of a dilemma than you might otherwise think. Do I go with Martin Brodeur or Sidney Crosby? Ovechkin or Nabokov? Who on from Belarus should I pick?

Each team consists of 12 players:  8 forwards; 3 defensemen; 1 goaltender

Each team must also name a Captain (who has their points tripled) and two Assistant Captains (who have their points doubled)

Forwards
  1. Canada: Sidney Crosby  (Captain)
  2. Russia: Alex Ovechkin (Assistant)
  3. Sweden: Nicklas Backstrom (Assistant)
  4. Latvia: Martins Karsums
  5. Slovakia: Marian Hossa
  6. Finland: Teemu Selanne
  7. Czech Rep.: Jaromir Jagr
  8. Belarus: Sergei Kostitsyn
Defensemen
  1. Switzerland: Mark Streit (who I think every team in the pool has selected)
  2. Germany: Christian Ehrhoff
  3. Norway: Mats Trygg
Goaltender
  1. USA: Ryan Miller
