For A Change Rangers Are Young & Are Playing Homegrown Talent

ESPN has a good article with Glen Sather talking about the start to the Rangers season and the influx of youth into their lineup.

The part that had me smiling was this:
These Rangers are being led by the likes of Ryan Callahan, Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov, Marc Staal, Daniel Girardi, Michael Del Zotto, Matt Gilroy, Mike Sauer and, of course, Henrik Lundqvist. Homegrown Rangers, all of them.
It really is a change for the Rangers to have nine players in the lineup on a regular basis that they brought up through the organization. Glen Sather gets a lot of crap (I'm amongst those that bash him regularly), but I've always said keep Sather away from making free agent signings and he's pretty decent at what he does. Of course it helps to have Gordie Clark who is doing a great job with the Rangers scouting.
