Through Two Periods Zuccarello With 3 goals, 1 assist

After two periods tonight in the AHL the Hartford Wolf Pack are beating the Islanders farm team, Bridgeport, 5-0. Through forty minutes of play Mats Zuccarello Aasen has three goals and an assist.

Just last week it was rumored that MZA was upset and was about to head back to Sweden. Just a week later expect there to be calls for Zuccarello to be called up to the Rangers from many Rangers fans.

Prior to the Rangers game this evening, John Tortorella issued a challenge for Evgeni Grachev to step up his game.
“Whitey probably should be in the lineup tonight”
“I’m still looking to develop youth in our team and our kids and that’s going to outweigh some of that. But I also need to see Grachev answer a little here because I’m not going to keep Whitey out much longer. He’s added to us.”
If Grachev doesn't do something in the third period of the Rangers/Blues game tonight it's possible that Grachev may be sent back down to Hartford. If that happens, do the Rangers make another call up to replace him? Or, do the Rangers just slide White back into the lineup in his place?

It's only one game, but many Rangers fans will be calling for MZA to get a shot in New York sometime soon.
