Found this video over at the HFBoards. It's a series that was produced in 2002 by TSN, very similar to the HBO series "24/7" that's currently following the Capitals and Penguins. This is just one part of the series and you'll notice that after the 2:00 mark of the video there's a lot of video containing the young Sean Avery. Doesn't look like Sean has changed much.

Will the Rangers Send Del Zotto To Minors?
Michael Del Zotto has sat out the last two Rangers games; one due to the flu and the other as a healthy scratch. He'll miss his third straight game on Wednesday night when the Rangers head to Newark to take on the Devils. The beat writers are reporting that Del Zotto is sitting out due to a groin injury.
Chances are that even if Del Zotto were healthy that he'd once again be watching from the press box. Matt Gilroy who stayed in the lineup in place of Del Zotto on Monday night likely secured himself another game with a two goal performance against the Islanders. Now the question is do the Rangers keep Del Zotto around or do they send him down to the minors? Either way his confidence has got to be hurting right now ... big time.

MZA Back In NY To Play Islanders
According to Ranger Rants:
Hartford err Connecticut, to start the season was just what the doctor ordered.
Michael Del Zotto who has struggled most of this season is healthy again but he'll be a scratch on Monday night. Tortorella has said that he's going to keep Matt Gilroy in the lineup because he liked what he saw from him against Tampa when Del Zotto was out with the flu.

Mats Zuccarello will be recalled for tomorrow night’s game against the Islanders after playing for Connecticut (AHL) today. That would have happened regardless of Marian Gaborik’s health and coach John Tortorella said, after talking to trainer Jim Ramsey, all indications are that Gaborik will be good to go tomorrow night.Zuucarello had a solid start to his NHL career against the Lightning earlier this week. Hopefully the demotion to

Looks Like Derek Boogaard Is Going To Be Out For A While
According to Ranger Rants:
Boogaard has missed five games with what started as a strained right shoulder. However, coach John Tortorella said today Boogaard has been experiencing headaches so the Rangers have shut him down from exercising and will most likely (make that almost certainly) have him tested for a concussion. It goes without saying that until the headaches cease, he will not be allowed to practice/skate/workout.Sounds like that punch by Matt Carkner was as devastating as it looked.

Link To Full Video of 24/7: Pens/Caps Episode 1
If you don't have HBO then you've probably been searching high and low for this.
Here's the full first episode streaming from NHL.com
Be warned that it is the censored version, so a lot of what most of us consider the good stuff, is cut out. But, it's better than nothing .... right?

Prust Playing With Injured Shoulder
We've been hearing for a while now that Brandon Prust has been playing banged up. It sure hasn't stopped him from putting up points as of late :)
Anyways, a fan was chirping Paul Bissonnette on Twitter Friday because he didn't fight Prust. Bissonnette (aka Biz Nasty) responded:

Video: Carkner Makes Blood Flicking Gesture At Rangers Bench
It doesn't look like any blood was actually flicked, likely just a gesture. Still pretty classless and stupid. If James Wisniewski gets a two game suspension for this sexual gesture at the beginning of the season then surely Carkner is looking at a minor suspension as well.

Frolov Sure Knows How To Burn His Bridges!
If you've been watching the Rangers this season then you probably know that Alex Frolov has been a major disappointment so far this season. Everything about the way he has played has pretty much sucked. Whether it be that he skates like he has a 100lb bag of cement on his back, can't score a goal to save his life or that his offensive weapon of choice, the wraparound, is his only offensive move EVER!
Yet, somehow this fool thinks that he deserves more ice time. Beyond The Blueshirts has the translation from an article that was recently posted in the Russian media. Frolov told the reporter:
Someone ought to tell Frolov what happened the last two times that ice time was discussed in the media. If you don't remember, you should go here and here.

It’s absolutely unacceptable to me that that I spend 7-8 minutes a game on the ice, especially on an energy line. It’s just not my game, which I told the coach candidly.Alex, have you ever thought that it would be somehow acceptable for a coach to give a player that has been the worst player on the team more than seven minutes of ice time per game? At this point in the season your lucky that Todd White is the healthy scratch of choice on a nightly basis. Hopefully Frolov can snap out of this rut, but to be honest, it hasn't looked like a rut at all. It just looks like the Frolov signing was a mjor mistake. Thankfully, only a one year mistake.

Video: Did You Think It Was Possible To Hate Patrick Kaleta Any More Than You Already Do? Well, It Is!
Gotta give Kaleta props for fighting. It's something that the spot picker doesn't do often. He really gave Dorsett quite the beat down. A little gloating after a win like that would be fine. But, what is this, the WWE? Hope the Blue Jackets don't forget that showboating the next time the two teams play. But, something tells me, that if someone does step to Kaleta, he'll revert back to being the spot picker that he is.

Callahan To Be Disciplined For Elbow?
It was obviously a penalty but I'm not sure whether it deserves any further discipline. Callahan's elbow obviously made contact with Nielsen's head. But, does it qualify as a blind side hit? What does everyone else think?
Although Callahan may get a call from the NHL, I don't think he'll miss any action. Hopefully he's on the ice against the Senators on Sunday evening.
